In June of 2008, the Presidents of the different Rosalenian Associations abroad attended the town fiesta to pay support to the flagship programs of the Mayor and to realize the Rosales Museum project from the proceeds of 2008 Mrs. Rosales Popularity Contest. Present then were Association Presidents, Mr. Amado Bermuda of Hawaii, Mr. Reny Delos Reyes of British Columbia, Mr. Rommy Fayloga of Southern California and Mr. Rommy Soriben of Northern California. The initial plan out of the dialogue was to purchase the Pine ancestral house along the Rosales-Balungao road for the price of Four Million Pesos. The visit to the house raised the interest among the Presidents having seen the architecture and its antiquity. Nonetheless this plan failed to materialize due to the disagreement of one of the heirs which gave way to the construction and completion in June 2010 of the Consejo Muncipal Building. The credit for the building was shared with Mrs. Rosales 2008 Melinda Torres Domingo and other personalities, Mrs. Rosales 2009 Felicitas Rabino Sanchez and other personalities among others. Upon the blessing of the building, it was agreed that the 1st floor will be utilized as the Library and the Museum while the 2nd floor will be used as the legislative offices and session hall. Unfortunately this was not observed since the Museum was not transferred only the library. Perhaps this has been due to the political dispute that ensued after the oathtaking in June of 2010 later worsened when the remaining obligation to the contractor was ignored to be paid. This time around, December 2011, without having consulted the Mayor neither donors, the library has been divided to make room for the boxing training camp pursuant to the laid boxing game competitions come 2012. The other room was made equipped with differrent boxing practice materials as they eye it as a training ground for would be boxers. But this is at the expense of those who wish to make use of the library since it disturbs its nature to be conducive for learning besides it destroys the aesthetic design of the building. The other matter is that, what can we say to our contributors who shared their blessings with the intention to put up a place for the learning of Rosalenians.
